A Proverbial Brooch

The spring willow bundles of softness and downy grey fluff from my previous 'Details' post had to be captured, treasured and preserved in some way.

The resulting work in progress is this pure euclidean receptacle.  The willows are packed in like emperor penguins sheltering from a stiff northern icy blast of wind.

The brooch mechanism frames a short verse from Proverbs which reads

"She is clothed with strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future"

Time to mix up some resin and do some encapsulating!

  1. seriously, you can just encase pussy willows with resin? too cool. can't wait to see.

    a favorite quote as well........

  2. Beautiful. I normally laugh when I see these flowers (blame John Waters and "Serial Mom"!) But this just made me gasp. Beauty with, somehow, melancholy. Love it.
