There is a fence that runs along the top of the beach. There are no signs to indicate that one should not enter but I always feel somewhat furtive when I roam there. It is like a kind of secret garden and I'm always amazed at the variety of plants that seem to thrive in such bare and often harsh conditions.
I tread carefully and lightly and here are some of the treasures I caught in my 'net'.
I think these mossy stars are my favourite 'catch of the day'. I've tried taking bits of this constellation home with me but it doesn't seem to thrive in my salt free garden so today I curtailed my impulse to scoop up a little handful of it. But, oh, it is such magical stuff.
