A while back I had the honour of creating
these bridesmaid's necklaces - it was rather nice making one for myself.
I decided that the wedding present to celebrate the occasion should be a piece of jewellery - but I wasn't sure on the exact form that it would take. I always knew that it would evolve from the big day itself. It would take elements from the wedding day and preserve them in silver. In doing so, a little bit of the spirit of that day could be enjoyed and worn everyday.

And so, after some careful thought (and a practice run for my Mum's 60th birthday, which you can see
here) and some sketching and some more thought I developed this:

| Pour ma petite soeur, June 2012 |
Ingredients: A handmade, from scratch, chain (even the little circular links, from 0.8mm wire), a photograph of the bride's bouquet, an imprint of the leaves from the groom's button hole and a single pearl from my paternal grandmother.
To be hand delivered, soon.
This is simply stunning. What a fitting and wonderful gift and keepsake. Mrs L x
