A Fabulous Friday Feeling - sprint finish

I am patting myself on the back for being most productive this week.  I finished today by honing a few blocks of pure colour; now I just need to wait for the beautiful contrasting cotton cords to arrive in my post box before listing them on Etsy.

Shades of green and blue and grain, Cari-Jane Hakes, 2012
I suppose it is no surprise that I gravitated towards these colours initially - they are the colours which permeate my everyday - they are the colours under my feet, twisting in my hair and getting under my fingernails.

Coincidently I was featured in this beautiful treasury by Eleni Avioniti from Greece.  My piece is on the second row, far left.

I am winging my way into the weekend under the cover of la brume (sea fog) - I think up above it all the sun must be shinning.  Let's hope it burns through in time for Saturday.
